Changeling Weekend this weekend

Hi all,

Due to low numbers of people paying in advance we were unable to book food with the youth hostel as I needed to pay for it two months ago so we shall be do the catering, also means I couldn't pay for the venue for Sunday, so we shall be finishing at lunchtime Sunday. sorry folks but if people don't give us money we cant run events!!!

also getting there Friday. if you need collecting call me on my mobile since we have a minibus and we can arrange transport to the venue for you. I suggest people have time have a look around Malvern and the local area as it is gorgeous.

We will be bringing a list of approvals with us but if your character sheet could have your approvals listed this would be helpful.

Bring three copies of your character sheet for signing in. 1 copy will be being kept by the ST team. also it may be worth bringing a secondary character sheet.

Please could people also bring either item cards or full description and cost so we can item card it. please also remember that these items are meant to be on the database.

We have a venue for Sunday so we can Roleplay on Sunday:-

Rules for T-shirts....

Rules for T-shirts....

The T-shirts must not have a WW copyrighted image or text on it.
for example, no changeling butterfly
no changeling kith logos etc etc

do not use the word Camarilla or Cam UK

if we do we have to increase the price as White wolf then ask for a percentage of the cost (yup Cost) which defeats the object of me getting these done at cost!

Hi all,

hey as you know I am organising the changeling national. and as part of tradition we have a little memento of the national event.

so guess what this year I though I would throw open the creative chance to you all....

design a t-shirt that can be produced and sold as the memento of this years changeling national.

the prize - the winning design will be on everyone's t-shirt and the winning designer will be given there t-shirt for free.

costs of this years and limitations will depend on where we get to make the t-shirts, but general advice

complex shaded images will only go onto white
simple outline, or solid blocks of colour will go onto any t-shirt.
the artwork does not have to be brilliant, the idea is for the artwork and the inspiration that we can use to have them created...

so get those creative juices flowing...

details about the national itself to come later this week. including the first snippets about the theme of the national.

deadline for ideas will be May 23rd 2004

There are 58 places available for friday -> 2pm Sunday.
for the weekend on the 25th - 27th June 2004

Full Board * £22.60 each Total Hire = £1310.80
Half Board £19.40 each Total Hire = £1125.20
Bed & Breakfast £14.20 each Total Hire = £823.60
Bed only £10.60 each Total Hire = £614.80

if we have the money i would be looking at asking someone to be a driver for a minibus to collect people from the station.

THEREFORE WE ARE LOOKING AT £30.00 per head and needing to fill all 58 places.

Details about getting there:-
Car Park
There is a small car park & secure bicycle shed on site. We can offer parking for a coach. If you arrive by coach please take care to not block our neighbours' drives whilst being dropped off at the hostel.

Trains
Alight at Great Malvern (1.5 miles from hostel). Most rail services travel into Malvern, either directly or with a change at Worcester / Birmingham. Turn left out of the station onto Imperial Road, bear left onto Clarence Road. Turn right onto Court Road, which becomes St Andrews Road. Finally, turn right up Peachfield Rd.

Rooms
This Hostel has 10 bedrooms of 2x 2-beds / 2x 4-bed / 3x 6-bed / 1x 8-bed / 2x 10-bed, and holds up to 58 people.

Other Areas
The Garden. The hostel is located in a quiet residential area and we kindly ask that consideration be shown for our neighbours. Groups are welcome to make use of the garden between 9.00am and 7.00pm. Outside of these hours we ask that groups use the large common opposite the hostel.

Members Kitchen. For those who wish to self cater, the kitchen is fully equipped for your cooking needs.

Reception Area Entrance. Reception is open between 8am - 10am and from 5pm - 10.30pm. At reception you can:
· order your food
· make use of the small shop

as always people will ask about next years ling national at the end of the game.
and i will probally say the sme thing again - never again

but cause i know the biggest complaint, can we have a better location i have done some research

to get somewhere in the midlands/lakedistrict the cheapest price would cost at
90.00 each, uncatred for the weekend!

will be holding

The tournament will consist of four events
Jousting, Sword duels, Archery and a Grand Melee.
Each event will have a winner, and their will be an overall winner of
the tournament

Also, as is traditional, I will be looking for a Puck, a prankster
who gets to be The Puck at the Pranksgiving, in mid July.

In addition, I would also like to stage a production of part of 'A
Midsummer's Night Dream', as has also become traditional. This gives
all a chance to truly shine and show their skills, as we will have
some people undoubtedly making costumes, a stage, sound and lighting
effects, as well as people performing.

I am also proud to announce that my father, Count Tarquin Ap Fiona,
Chancellor to the High King, will be performing a wedding ceremony
for a lovely young couple who announced their intentions sometime ago

Well i guess i'd better put something up here :)

So we are planning to have the madness continue but this year i'd like it to be a bit different. We've returned all the really important people and whilst it might be funny to do a send someone away plot that might not be too productive.. although we could all go find Badwinter :)

Anyway i have stuff that i'm working on but what would you guys like to see at the National?
